This is a help-center guide for setting up and logging into your Lenit admin account, which is required to access the admin console. You can sign up with email or Google, and log in with the same account on the web, desktop app, and iOS app. This account is separate from the account end users use in the widget.
Signing Up
How do I sign up for Lenit?
On the Sign Up screen, sign up with your email or click Sign up with Google.
- Enter your name, email, password, and password confirmation.
- Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (both required), then click Continue.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email and click Verify. You'll be logged in right away and taken to the workspace creation screen.
You can't sign up in the mobile app. Sign up on the web (or desktop app), then log in to the app with the same account. For trial conditions on your first workspace, see the Free Trial article.
I didn't receive the verification code email.
First, check your spam folder, then click Resend on the verification screen. After one request, you can request again after 60 seconds.
- Codes are valid for 10 minutes. When you receive a new code, the previous one stops working.
- If you request too frequently in a short time, you'll be temporarily blocked. Wait a while and try again.
- If you closed the screen before verifying, try logging in on the login screen with your email and password. You'll see Get a new verification code. Signing up again with the same email sends a new code (your name and password will be updated to the new values you entered).
I entered the verification code incorrectly several times.
After 5 incorrect attempts on a single code, that code can no longer be used. If you see "Too many verification attempts. Please request a new code.", click Resend to get a new code and enter it.
"Verification code has expired" means the code is more than 10 minutes old. In this case too, click Resend.
What's different when I sign up with Google?
Your account is created immediately with your Google account, with no verification code needed. The first time you sign in, you'll see a screen asking you to agree to the terms.
- Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (2 required items) and click Agree and Get Started to proceed to the workspace selection screen. If you click Don't agree and log out, you'll exit without using the service.
- Accounts created with Google have no password. To also log in with a password, see "I signed up with Google but want to log in with a password too" below.
I see "This email is already registered."
An account with that email has already been verified. Log in instead of signing up.
- If you can't remember your password, reset it using Forgot your password? on the login screen.
- If you originally signed up with Google using that email, use Continue with Google to sign in.
How should I choose a password?
Use at least 10 characters with both letters and numbers. This applies to signing up, resetting your password, and changing your password.
- However, very common passwords (e.g.,
password123), passwords with repeated characters or short repeated patterns, passwords containinglenit, and passwords containing your email ID will be rejected. If rejected, the reason is shown on screen. - You can use up to 128 characters.
- Logging in with an 8-character password you created earlier is not a problem. The rules only apply when setting a new password.
Logging In
How can I log in?
Log in with email and password or Continue with Google. After logging in, the workspace selection screen opens first.
| Where | Login method |
|---|---|
| Web | Email and password, Google |
| Desktop app (macOS, Windows) | Email and password, Google — Google login opens in your computer's default browser, and you return to the app when finished. If you see "Please update the desktop app to the latest version.", update the app and log in again |
| iOS app (App Store 'Lenit Admin') | Email and password, Google, Apple — Google and Apple can only be used with emails that already have a Lenit account |
The Android app is coming soon. Microsoft and Kakao login, and SAML SSO for admins, are not currently supported. For accounts with two-factor authentication enabled, you'll be asked for an authenticator app code once more regardless of login method — see the Turning On Two-Factor Authentication and Recovery Codes article.
In the mobile app, I see "No Lenit account is linked to this social account."
Google and Apple login in the app can only be used with an email that already has a Lenit account. Either sign up on the web with the same email first, or log in to the app with email and password. The app has no sign-up or password reset screens.
When You Can't Log In
I see "Email verification required."
This account hasn't yet entered the verification code you received when signing up. Click Get a new verification code at that screen to receive a new code and open the verification screen. After entering the code, you'll see "Email verification complete. Please log in now." Then log in again.
I see "Incorrect email or password."
Your email or password is wrong. Check for typos and capitalization, then try again.
- Accounts created with Google have no password, so you'll see this message. Log in with Continue with Google.
- If you can't remember your password, reset it with Forgot your password?.
- If you keep failing, the account will be temporarily locked (see the next question).
I entered the wrong login details too many times and got locked out. How do I fix it?
After 5 failed attempts within 15 minutes, the account is locked for 15 minutes. Either wait 15 minutes or reset your password to unlock immediately.
- Failed attempts are counted together across the password, two-factor authentication code, and identity verification screens.
- When locked, you'll see "Login failed repeatedly, so the account has been locked for 15 minutes…", and a lock notification email will be sent to your registered email. If you didn't make these attempts, someone may have tried to access your account using your email, so reset your password.
- "Too many attempts. Please try again later." means you tried too many times in a short period. Wait a while and try again.
If You Forgot Your Password
I forgot my password.
- On the login screen, click Forgot your password?.
- Enter your registered email and click Send reset link.
- Open the link in the email, enter a new password and password confirmation, then click Change password. When done, log in with your new password.
- The link can be used only once within 1 hour.
- Resetting your password logs you out of all devices across the web, desktop, and mobile apps, and also clears any login lock. A notification email is sent to your registered email.
- If no email arrives after a few minutes, check your spam folder. Emails are only sent to registered addresses. Password reset isn't available in the mobile app — use the web.
The reset link says it has expired.
"The link has expired or has already been used" means it's been more than 1 hour, or the link has already been used. Click Get a new link on that screen to request another. If you've received multiple reset emails, only the most recent link will work.
I signed up with Google but want to log in with a password too.
Accounts created with Google initially have no password. Use Forgot your password? on the login screen to receive a reset link at your registered email and create a password. After that, you can log in with either your email and password or Google.
What language are verification and reset emails sent in?
They're sent in the language of the screen where you made the request. If you sign up or request a reset from the English screen, you'll receive English emails. You can change the language using KR/EN at the top right of the login and sign-up screens.
Staying Logged In and Your Profile
How long does my login last?
Once you log in, you stay logged in while you're using it. You'll need to log in again if you don't use the account for 30 days. This is the same across the web, desktop, and mobile apps.
- If your workspace has automatic logout enabled, you'll be logged out after a set period of inactivity (web and desktop apps) — see the Requiring Two-Factor Authentication for Your Workspace article.
- If you change your password or click Log out of all devices, your login on other devices will end — see the Account Security article.
Where can I change my name or profile picture?
Change them in Edit Profile from the profile menu at the top right.
- Name — the name displayed in comments, announcements, and similar places.
- Profile picture — click the photo to upload a PNG, JPG, or WEBP image (1MB or less).
- You can also turn email notifications and this device's notifications on or off in the same window — see the Notifications for Your Team article.
Can I change my login email?
This is not currently supported. In Edit Profile, you can only change your name and picture.
To use a different email address, sign up with that email and then be invited to the workspace again. If you are the owner, you can transfer ownership to the new account (see the Inviting team members and roles & seats article) and then delete the old account (see the Account security article).
