Updated
Leni supports Korean and English. The language is set in three separate places: My screen language, which each person chooses; Workspace language, which applies to the whole workspace; and Customer-facing language, which varies per customer. Time is based on a single workspace time zone, and the times shown on screen follow the viewer's browser time zone.
My screen language
How do I switch the admin screen to English (or Korean)?
Use KR/EN in the upper right corner of the screen. The screen changes immediately, and this browser will open in that language next time.
The login, sign-up, and workspace selection screens have the same switch. For the mobile app, see "Where do I change the mobile app language?" below.
Does changing the screen language apply only to this browser?
No. If you change it while logged in, it is saved to your account.
- Notification emails you receive (new conversations, new feedback, etc.), push notifications, and security alert emails will come in that language.
- Your account also opens in that language on other devices. However, if you have previously chosen a language in that browser, that choice takes precedence.
- The light/dark theme is not saved to your account and applies only to this browser.
If I change my language, will other team members' screens change too?
No. Screen language is set separately for each person. For messages that affect the whole workspace, such as team invitation emails and customer emails, the language is set by the Workspace language below.
My notification emails are in English. How do I receive them in Korean?
While logged in on the web or desktop app, switch KR/EN in the upper right corner to Korean. Emails from then on will be in Korean.
Emails sent to you, such as new conversation and new feedback notifications, security alerts, and trial end notices, follow your account language. For notification types and where to turn them off, see the document Notifications sent to my team.
Where do I change the mobile app language?
Change it using the 한/EN switch on the app's login screen or via More > Language. Initially, the app follows the device language: Korean if the device is set to Korean, English otherwise.
Is there a screen in other languages, such as Japanese?
Not at the moment. Leni's screens and emails are available in Korean and English only. If the browser is not set to Korean (Japanese, German, etc.), the screen shows in English.
Workspace language
Where do I change the workspace language, and what does it affect?
Change it under Settings > Workspace > Basic info & branding, in the Workspace language field. It sets the language of emails Leni sends on the workspace's behalf and of default content.
- Team invitation emails
- Customer feedback notification emails (idea status changes, comments, announcements) and customer account emails (sign-up codes, login links, password resets)
- The unsubscribe notice at the bottom of campaign emails. In a Korean workspace, "(광고)" is added in front of the subject line of promotional campaign emails.
- Default statuses and welcome text created when a workspace is set up, and the initial value for the working language of AI manager Leni
The initial value is the screen language you had when you created the workspace.
If I change the workspace language, will existing status names or welcome text change?
No. Default status names, welcome text, and the team group chat name are created once in that language when the workspace is set up. After you change the language, only emails sent afterward and newly created defaults follow the new language. Existing names need to be edited manually. For status names, see the document Status and topic settings.
If an English-speaking customer posts in a Korean workspace, what language are the notification emails in?
Feedback notification emails, such as idea status changes, comments, and announcements, are sent in the workspace language regardless of the customer's language. In a Korean workspace, they are in Korean.
Conversation reply notification emails, however, follow the language of the conversation with that customer. A customer who conversed in English receives English emails. For which emails are sent and when, see the document Notifications sent to customers.
Where do I change the language for Leni's work reports and changelog drafts?
Change it under Leni working language in the AI manager Leni settings (available from the Pro plan). It starts as the workspace language, and Leni writes changelog drafts, launch summaries, decision rationales, and work reports in this language. For details, see the document AI manager Leni.
Customer-facing language
In what language does the widget appear to customers?
By default, it follows the customer's browser language: Korean if the browser is Korean, English otherwise. If a customer selects 한국어/English under Language in the widget settings, the widget opens in that language in their browser. Button labels on the customer's site follow the customer's browser language.
Text written by the admin, such as the welcome message, is shown exactly as written, regardless of language.
In what language do the public feedback board and help center appear?
- Public feedback board — Opens in the visitor's browser language. You can change it using Language in the upper right menu. Only interface text such as buttons and menus changes; idea, announcement, and status names are shown as written.
- Help center — Interface text such as the search box and buttons follows the visitor's language, and articles are shown in the language attached to the URL (or the original language if none is specified). To run the help center in two languages, see the document Help center multilingual support and automatic translation.
What language does Leni reply in? What if someone asks in Spanish or Japanese?
Leni's reply body is written in the language the customer wrote in. If the question is in Spanish, the answer is in Spanish.
However, fixed standard messages, such as "Would you like to be connected to an agent?", are available only in Korean and English. If the conversation language is not Korean, they are sent in English. The conversation language is determined in this order: the customer's current message → earlier messages → widget screen language → browser language → workspace language. The admin screen language does not affect messages sent to customers.
In what language are conversation reply notification emails and away messages sent?
- Conversation reply notification emails — Sent in the language (Korean or English) of the conversation with that customer.
- Away messages — If left blank, the default message is sent in the customer's language (Korean or English). Custom messages are not translated and are shown as written to all customers. If you have customers in both languages, either write both languages in one message or use the default message. For where to configure this, see the document Conversation status management.
What is automatically translated, and what is not?
Automatic translation exists in only two places.
- Help center articles, collections, and FAQs — When you enable translation target languages in the help center, content is translated on publish and edit. See the document Help center multilingual support and automatic translation.
- Support bot scenarios — When saved, the opposite language (Korean↔English) is automatically generated so the scenario matches the widget language. No separate setup is required. See the document Support bot scenarios.
Announcements, ideas, status names, widget welcome text, and custom away messages are not translated and are shown as written. If you serve customers in both languages, you can write both languages in the same text.
Time zone
Where do I change the workspace time zone, and how is it set initially?
Change it under Settings > Workspace > Basic info & branding, in the Time zone field. Initially, it is set to the time zone of the browser used to create the workspace.
The operations screen in inbox settings shows "Workspace time zone · …", but this is read-only. To change it, go to Basic info & branding.
What does the workspace time zone determine?
All workspace-level decisions about dates and times follow this time zone.
- Date grouping in conversation and outbound statistics
- Scheduled times for announcements and campaigns. The scheduling screen shows "Based on workspace time zone · …".
- Conversation business hours and away-message decisions, and date conditions for inbox search
- Leni's scheduled run times, and the "today" the operator knows about
- Times listed in trial end notices and subscription cancellation confirmation emails
What time zone are the times shown on the admin screen in?
Times shown in messages, lists, and audit logs use the viewer's browser time zone. Statistics dates, scheduling, and business hours decisions use the workspace time zone.
As a result, a team member overseas may see message times (their time zone) and statistics dates (workspace time zone) differently. Times on the online onboarding booking screen are also shown in your browser time zone.
If I change the time zone, what happens to already scheduled announcements and campaigns?
Existing schedules are sent at the moment originally set. Only schedules created after the change are read in the new time zone.
Statistics dates, business hours, away-message decisions, and inbox date search follow the new time zone immediately.
What is determined by Korea Standard Time?
The following are fixed to Korea Standard Time (KST), regardless of the workspace time zone. For overseas workspaces, the local date may differ by up to a day.
| What | When (Korea time) | Detailed document |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly reset of AI response volume, AI analysis limits, operator credits, and outbound email monthly limits | 1st of each month, 0:00 | What each plan includes |
| Automatic data retention deletion | Daily at 3:30 AM | Data retention |
| Automatic re-reading of reference URLs | Daily at 4:30 AM | Reference URL usage guide |
| Online onboarding availability | Weekdays 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (shown in your time zone on screen) | Online onboarding booking |
What time zone are times in emails in?
- Trial end notices and subscription cancellation confirmation emails — Times are shown in the workspace time zone with the UTC offset appended (e.g., October 20, 18:00 UTC+9).
- Security alert emails — Times are shown in the time zone of the first workspace you joined, with the UTC offset appended. If you don't belong to any workspace, Korean-language accounts receive Korea time and English-language accounts receive UTC.
