Leni, your AI manager

Leni is an AI manager that tidies up your feedback board every morning. It tags new ideas with topics, merges duplicates, spots releases in your code repository, drafts the changelog, and then reports back on what it did.

NotePlan requirement
Leni is available from the Pro plan ($69/mo) and up. It is not available on workspaces without an active subscription.

Where to find Leni

Open AI manager (/admin/agent) in the admin sidebar. Leni runs automatically every morning at 06:00, tidies up the feedback board, and reports what it did that day.

The four things Leni does

JobWhat it does
Automatic topic taggingAttaches the right topic tags to incoming ideas.
Duplicate detection and mergingSpots similar ideas and merges them — or suggests a merge.
Release detectionScans merged PRs and releases in the connected GitHub repository, finds the related ideas, and suggests moving them to "Done".
Changelog draftsTurns what shipped into a draft announcement (changelog).

For example, Leni shows its reasoning alongside each action — Matched PR #182 in GitHub release v1.24.0 → changelog draft written — so you can see which release maps to which idea.

Auto-run vs. awaiting approval

Leni splits its work into two tracks based on how confident it is.

  • Auto-run — high-confidence actions are carried out right away.
  • Awaiting approval — anything ambiguous goes to the approval queue for an admin to confirm.

In the approval queue (/admin/agent/pending) you can approve or reject items one by one, approve everything at once, and filter by action type.

TipUndo
Among auto-run actions, status changes and topic tagging can be undone. For every action, the report screen shows what Leni detected, what it did, and its step-by-step reasoning with a confidence score (%).

Daily calendar

Click any date on the calendar in the AI manager screen to see everything Leni did that day — which ideas it tagged, which items it merged, and which releases it detected.

Automation settings

Adjust how Leni works from the settings modal on the AI manager screen.

  • GitHub repository — connect the repo used for release detection and changelog drafts.
  • Product docs URL indexing — index your own product docs so Leni understands your context.
  • Slack report webhook — get Leni's daily report in Slack.
  • Run time — set when Leni starts its shift (06:00 by default).
  • Master on/off — turn Leni's automatic shift on or off.

Connecting GitHub

Release detection and changelog drafts require a connected GitHub repository. We recommend installing the GitHub App.

  1. Click Connect GitHub in the automation settings.
  2. Pick the repositories to connect on GitHub's app installation screen.
  3. Once installed, you are returned to Lenit and the connection is complete.

Repositories use the owner/repo format. Once connected, Leni scans merged PRs and releases to detect what shipped and draft the changelog.

NoteThe first connection turns Leni on
After your first GitHub connection, Leni's automatic shift is turned on by default.
TipImproving match accuracy
Use Copy PR reference (lenit#xxxx) on the idea detail screen and paste the reference into the PR title or body — Leni then matches releases to ideas far more accurately. See the Managing ideas guide for details.
